The GUE Tech 1 course is designed for ambitious divers ready to embark on the path to technical diving. Course Overview

The GUE Tech 1 course is an intensive six-day program that combines classroom lectures, land drills, and in-water training. Through a minimum of seven dives, including three trimix experience dives, you will develop the skills and confidence to handle the challenges of technical diving, including decompression procedures, gas management, and emergency problem-solving.

Course Details

  • Prerequisites:
    • Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
    • Be physically and mentally fit.
    • Be a non-smoker.
    • Be able to swim.
    • Obtain a physician’s prior written authorization for use of prescription drugs, except for birth control, or for any medical condition that may pose a risk while diving.
    • Have earned a GUE Fundamentals – Technical certification.
    • Have a minimum of 100 logged dives beyond autonomous entry-level scuba diver.
  • Duration:
    • Normally conducted over six days.
    • Requires a minimum of seven dives, including three trimix experience dives.
    • Includes at least 48 hours of instruction, encompassing classroom lectures, land drills, and in-water work.
  • Equipment Requirements:
    • GUE-standard double-tank configuration, including backplate and wing, long hose regulator setup, and stage bottles.
    • Dive computer, compass, backup lights, and other standard technical diving gear.
  • Certification: Upon successful completion, you will receive the GUE Tech 1 certification, recognized worldwide for its high standards.
